The Romulus Public Library is dedicated to promoting early literacy within the communities of Romulus and Huron Charter Township. For kids 0-5, the five basic ways to encourage growth are through Talking, Writing, Reading, Playing, and Singing. This will help them prepare for learning as well as prepare them for success in kindergarten and later in life.
This program encourages kids to read before kindergarten. According to some research, by reading just 1 book a day, a child will obtain 290,000 more words than other children in their kindergarten class that didn’t read prior to kindergarten.
