The African American Literary Club will reopen in the Fall. We had our first meeting in February 2020 and then the Covid-19 Closure happened. While the library will reopen before then we feel its best to try and relaunch the program later in the year. We will be coming back in the Fall 2020, so keep an eye out for any changes!

The public has requested we look into adding more book clubs. After considering the many options, the Romulus Public Library has decided to add a book club focusing on African American literary works. Our first meeting was February 24 2020 at 630 pm.

You can pick up the book at Romulus Public Library. You will need to have a library card. If you do not have a library card, residents of Romulus and Huron Township are eligible for a Romulus Library card. Just bring your State ID/License and stop in to get a library card. If you are not a resident of Romulus/Huron Township you can get a library card from your town’s public library as long as they are a part of The Library Network (TLN), you can use that card to check out the book. The book club is open to anyone over 18+.

Check here to see if your local library is a TLN member, where you can use your card here: TLN Members

First three books have been selected by the Adult Librarian until the book club meets and can select the rest of the year’s books. All suggestions are welcomed!
